It’s nothing but psychology

The little girl found herself standing in an enourmous field. It just seemed to keep going on and on as well. She could see no end to it. She has never been to this place before. She felt a bit frightened. But it seemed like a beautiful place. “Maybe I’ll play here for a bit”, she thought. “But what to do?”
As she stood there thinking of what she might be able to do in this strange place, she started to hear cries and roars and what sounded like thousands of footsteps coming from both sides. A while later, she saw a men and women running at her bearing weapons upon each other. One side wore green and the other side also wore green but had a different design on their outfits.
She has seen things like this too many times. Her older brother sat in front of their TV and watched this sort of thing a lot. She never liked those movies. It was too noisy and there was too much blood. And she always thought her brother and his friends looked rather silly when they were shouting “DONG DONG” at each other with their toy guns. She knew what was about to happen. She had never felt this afraid. She was trapped in the middle. Covering her face in her arms, she fell weakly onto the ground and crouched down into the smallest ball she possibly could, she was crying like she had never cried before.
She heard it like the opening notes to a horrible song. Bangs and explosions pierced her ears. But nothing happened at all. None of them seemed to be touching her. After waiting a considerable time in that exact position, she decided to look up. What she saw made her heart explode with wonder.
The men and women in the green suits were firing their weapons at each other and throwing bombs at each other. But instead of the fire she saw in her brothers’ films, these men and women were firing weapons that fired bursts of colours. Thousands of colurs crisscrossing the sky as she looked above her head. Bombs exploded around her that sent showers of flowers with even more colours flying all over the air. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. And she was standing right in the middle.
Letting out an almost hysterical scream of glee, the little girl started running through the colours, laughing with happiness as she spun around the colours making them swirl around her. She picked up flowers and started throwing them into the air again as high as she can. Her little contribution to this little “battle” that was taking place.
As she was running around the field, trying to spot every bit of colour her eyes can see at once, they f ell on a figure that she had not seen in a long long time. He was one of the men firing their guns of colours all over the place. She screamed for joy again at the sight of him and started running towards him at full speed. The colours and the flowers didn’t hurt her. She was safe.

She ran and ran …..

With a start, the little girl woke up. The room was dark. And her mother was sleeping facing away from her. She poked her saying excitedly, “Ammi, I saw thathi again”. Her mother who was in fact not asleep but awake and thinking about her husband flinched at her daughters words. Her mind was too exhausted to hear about her daughters’ latest nightmare of her father surrounded by vicious looking people. She turned around and said as calmly as possible “You can tell ammi about it tomorrow, I’m very tired now”. Kissing her on the forehead she watched her daughter closing her eyes again sadly.
The little girl would not remember her dream tomorrow. Her mother would never know about the amazing things she witnessed. She fell back to her sleep but it wasn’t an uneasy sleep like what it usually has been. The dreams didn’t bother her again that night as she slept feeling happier than she had felt in weeks.

Greetings all

Well We haven't released any new music or played any shows recently and making up for it by putting up a badly videoed clip of a song from one of our practice sessions is a really lame way of making up for it...buuuuuuuuuuuut...Well this is just to say that we're still around and we're still jamming together (A lot of people have asked me in the past few months whther KS has split up)

Of course this was also an act of of my juvenile mind wanting to use my new camera:-p

It's kinda dark and the audio quality is not that great...And there's a bit of feedback from the amps...sorry aboot that...

Peace and Love

As i was ridng to work today after my morning soosthi, I was hoping I wouldn't come across something that would kill my trip so soon...I mean I know it's inevitable at some point but I was thinking not so soon...

And what do I see on the roads?

Hundreds of little Sri Lankan flags criss crossing the streets tied to the electric poles. Well everyones going on this "Raise your flag to show your love to the country" trip these days and I'm totally fine with it...If you really wanna do it then by all means do it...But the flags were PLASTIC...Yeah that material that is not bio degradable...They were all over the place the same way those white strips are put up during funerals..

In this absurdity, I once again ask...How exactly do you define ones love for the country?

GO SRI LANKA...The armed forces are winning the war so lets pay tribute to our motherland by destroying the environment with plastic flags all over...

Hurray to the plastic patriots

Wave that plastic flag proudly

And watch our mother die

Because of your plastic fucking stupidity

That's patriotism For you...Sheesh

Friday the 13th...Strange day...13...strange number...But why??? yeah yeah i've read the history of the number 13 and friday the 13th and yadi yadi yada...But seriously...Why do we go on and on about it? Like dont go out on friday the 13th...carry lucky charms if you do go out but it's better if you dont go out because something fucked up is going to happen...There are hotels that dont have a 13th room and buildings that dont have a 13th floor...I always thought all of this was rather far fetched...

I think there's nothing unlucky about the number 13...But the day? I actually do think that friday the 13th is a bad day...But it's not because of the history or the myth that sorrounds the number 13...it's all of us...A lot of people are convinced that friday the 13th is a bad and unlucky day and that has actually taken a toll on the cosmic order of things...Think about it...So many people all over the world freaking out and thinking something fucked up is going to happen...Friday the 13th has just simply become a day that attracts bad energy and bad vibes...So much of bad energy being generated from all over the place...Hell man something bad is bound to happen...

The point i'm trying to make here is just how ridiculous it is to sorround ourselves knowingly with so much of bad energy...Why must people insist on doing this?

So i think we have to start changing this silly perception...Dont Go around in fear and gloom on friday the 13th...Dont serve the occassion by wearing your darkest clothes and warning people that it's friday the 13th...Chill out...Be Positive...and Give other people that positive energy...Or at least try...Just try to generate Love and light and happiness around instead of Fear and darkness and superstition that usually comes along with this day...

It's really silly that we have to fear a day that is neither longer nor shorter nor any more fucked up than any other day...It's just a day man...I mean if the last supper consisted of 14 people the unlucky day would be friday the 14th...So do you see how silly it is?

So I end this post urging everyone who reads this to try to generate as much positivity around you as possible...It will Work...If anyone tries to warn you about it just hug them and say i love you or something if all else fails...
