Ok dear creatures of the fold...i finally sat down to write about the trip...like i have said countless times before on various forums and what not, this trip was the greatest experience of my life...met some awesome people, had a fuckin blast rocking in india, and i shared the experience with 19 of the worlds coolest, most dedicated maiden fans...to the "sacred 20" as Mr. Sentient likes to call us,you people are the best...i sincierly mean that...
Well this is the thing...i will not be giving a blow by blow account of what happened...simply because i cant...for one thing i still have not gotten over the fact that i saw my idols live and i dont think i ever will, and for another thing, the whole trip if i did write about it, would be one long ass blog entry...i just dont know where to start from so i will simply let this one go...im content with what i have seen and the rest of you (if there is actually anyone who reads this blog) will just have to make do...however if you want to know more about the trip there are two fantastic and very detailed writeups on this very site written by two extremely talented writers who were also a part of the sacred 20...

Well the most important thing is the fact that 20 Sri Lankans with a big ass Sri Lankan flag were the first to arrive at an iron maiden gig (we were there by 4.00 a.m)...We did get seperated at the gig but we did managed to stay in groups and well we pretty much managed to stay together amid 60,000 other people...well i have said this before and i know it sounds very Clichéd and all but united we stand, devided we fall...well we redefined that statement that night...we moshed like maniacs and i personally did NOT give a shit about who got in my way...was just doing my own thing and having a blast doing it...
Many other things happened during the trip ranging from us becoming the main attraction at the rock clubs we went to ;-) to us meeting sam dunn and educating him about the metal scene in Sri Lanka...but the most important thing thing is that we managed, in spite of so many trials and tribulations, to see iron maiden...the greatest band to ever walk the earth...and as suresh so aptly put it, not even death could have stopped us...
Still more things happened on that fateful trip, but some things are better left unsaid...what happened in bangalore stays in bangalore...
